A SMALL BRUSH FIRE IN THE SPRING OF '04
THIS FIRE TOOK PLACE IN DECEMBER OF 2002.
15 PEOPLE LOST THEIR HOME AS WELL AS THE LOSS OF THE WEST WARREN LIBRARY.
THE FIRE WAS BROUGHT UNDER CONTROL WITH THE MUTUAL AID HELP FROM THE TOWN OF
PALMER, WARE AND WEST BROOKFIELD. THE CATS WERE RESCUED FROM THE BURNING
BUILDING. THERE WERE NO INJURIES IN THE BLAZE.

Three story, 2 family upper floors
involved due to 7 year old playing with a lighter. Thanks to mutual aid from
Ware, Palmer, West Brookfield, Brookfield and Brimfield the lower floors
were saved.
Vehicle vs. Tree
Structure Fire - 10/18/04
Time: 0805, 2 children and 1 adult escape this
early morning blaze. This fire left 7 homeless. One occupant suffered burns to
his back escaping the morning flames! Mutual Aid from Ware, West Brookfield and
North Brookfield helped save the ground floor of the 100 year old dwelling.
Cause is under investigation.
HAZMAT INCIDENT 3/28/05
THE ABOVE PICS ARE FROM A RECENT HAZMAT SPILL
THAT OCCURRED ON MARCH 28TH 2005. A LOCAL OIL DELIVERY BUSINESS HAD ONE OF ITS
DELIVERY VEHICLES ROLL OVER ON ITS SIDE AND LOST APPROXIMATELY 1000
GALLONS OF HOME HEATING OIL.
The above pictures were taken on 01/05/06
during a fire that destroyed a 25 x 30, 2 story structure that housed a wood
shop and metal shop. The fire occurred mid morning and was brought under control
with the aid of the West Brookfield Fire Department. Ware Fire provided station
coverage during the incident. Our thanks to Dave Johnson for the use of these
photos!
These Pictures above were taken by Dave
Johnson on his way by a fully involved structure fire on 01/31/06. Much of the
property was lost to the blaze. Much thanks to Ware and West Brookfield Fire for
their invaluable assistance in the control of this fire. There were no injuries
and the residence were not home at the time of the fire.
These pictures were taken during a vehicle
fire on the Massachusetts Turnpike in early August of 2006. Fire fighters Paul
Russell and Joe LaFlower easily handle the unfortunate "Blazer"
